MP C300 print from usb drive

I hope everyone is having a good day. I have a mpc300 that has power to the usb port on the op panel. I plug the drive in, it flashes and then then a steady blue light. When I go to the printer screen it does not give me the option to print from removable media device. I stuck the usb drive into a cw2200 sitting right next to it, and everything works fine, it printed my jpg like its supposed to. I have 5985-1, onboard usb set to "1" on the C300,it does have a HDD and the firmware is the latest and greatest. Has anyone run into this kind of issue?

To print from an external memory device you need to have the HDD option fitted

Also, make sure media printing has not been disabled under Extended Security features.

Thanks, I made sure it had a hdd after reading your post about it on another thread.

Media print it was. On this model I found it under printer sp. Set it to "1" and life is good. Thanks.

I have 5985-1, onboard usb set to "1" on the C300

This has to do with the USB port that is near the network port for connecting a USB cable to in order to print from a computer by USB
