    Ricoh 1035 to Ricoh 1045

A good portion of my business is renting copiers that being said I tend to hang onto a copier as long as possible so yes I do work on older copiers so appreciate all the help you all have provided; that being said from an earlier post about the SC350-353 codes on this R-1035 I feel I'm going to have to replace the copier. I'm going to return the R-1045 they initially had; the 1045 has been canalbolized so what I'm hoping to be able to do is swap all the PCB's from the 1035 to the 1045 which I believe is possible but I'm thinking one of the PCB's has a switch that has to be changed seeking help to which PCB and what switch???
    Thanks!!!

Just had a quick look at the manual and from what i can tell all the boards are identical...so it's got me beat as to what designates the speed difference....controller perhaps.

check the IOB there is a DIP switch 101, set the 1to OFF if you want a 45 cpm and ON for 35 cpm, then go to SP 5907 to make sure you have the correct model, and for the switch 6 & 7, just copy the existing settings on your old IOB. Good Luck....
.....with all it shams, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.....

The two models are the same, all of the PCB do not need to change the DIP switch. If you want to upgrade speed may need to short circuit.

The main motor, the timing belt and pulley on the development drive, laser diode, the harness inside the laser housing, the polygon mirror motor and the feed/development motor are different in the parts catalog.

There is also a portion of the serial number that is unique to the model.

1035 also had 1 flywheel if I'm not mistaken, whereas 1045 had 2.

Humor me for a minute. I don't see the AF1035's any more but from memory I believe a worn Timing Pulley (AB030574) can cause your SC350 errors. It has a plastic key-way on it and older ones split/crack causing the OPC Drum drive to slip. When the drum slips you will get the SC350 error. The easiest way to check this is to take the flywheel off to access the pulley and inspect it (my gut tells me this is what might be happening).

SC350-353 can be easily solved and am sure u know its an ID sensor code

    *ID sensor defective
    *ID sensor connector defective
    *Poor ID sensor connector connection
    *I/O board (IOB) defective
    *High voltage supply board defective
    *ID sensor dirty
*Defect at ID sensor pattern writing area
    of the drum
