This device does process control at a drop of a hat which fills up the wtb very quickly. I have a couple of these devices in low volume customers and the wtb was full after 3 to 4K. I removed half of the times the device does process control and now get the wtb to full up between 25 to 30k

What SP are you adjusting for that, and what setting? I have had a look and not sure what one to alter, its not got the normal setting you can adjust on the 7501.

I find it interesting that two of the bulletins explain why it happens, yet offers no remedy. In other words, they're telling us "Get used to it! That's just how it works."
The engine firmware bulletin offers a remedy of a 10% improvement. Wow! So I can get a waste toner bottle yield of 4.4K instead of 4.0K. Break out the champagne! =^..^=

I have 6 of these in my territory. Four of them are Ricoh national accounts that we service and Ricoh provides the toner and WTBs. Ricoh sent them 2 WTB for each machine. When the use one, they send it back to Ricoh and are sent another. Lynn, the receptionist, says she is constantly ordering toner and returning WTBs.

MPC6502/8002/PRO5100... what a waste... of toner. Luckily our customers use them mostly in printshop environment, so the WTB last a bit longer before they are full.

Hey Tim,

It's in the SP3 range, I don't know off the top of my head but when I'm back at that particular client I will print out a non default page and scan it in for you.

I'm still in the testing stages at the moment, it seems to work but I don't know if it's going to change the life of the parts, I will wait and see

Yes, Please share that info, Ricoh isn't doing much to help us on this..................Even if it's by PM's............

+1 for the SP's. An other wise solid performing machine ruined with constant calls for WTB full calls.
