SCANNER FEATURE IS MISSING (MP 2501sp)

The machine was having an error code SC 672-11. We replaced BICU, controller board and NVRAM. The error was resolved. We have noticed after booting up the machine, the scanner feature is not there. Why does it happen? Any solution?

After replacing the boards and nvram you might need to go into SP 5-985 and make sure your nic card is turned on. If not then there is nothing to scan through so machine disables scan option.

Yup - there are a few SPs neccessary to check/adjust if you swap these parts - sometimes even if you do a NVRAM BACKUP/RESTORE. Try and use the factory SP sheet or get a non-default page from a similar machine. Not shure if the NV Ram swap was neccessary so you just might re-install the old NV ram and see what happens.

Did you try putting the original NVRAM on the new board?
