Now u get me sure wrong! It's sure, that i didn't come here to play with this case i have.
All i mean for that what i wrote was: if i only have this one model of Ricoh and i don't have tools, skill, knowledge or ability to do the update, so it's waste of time, yours and mine!
Only thing that piss me off, is this case!

Are you sure you are using the correct twain driver? (maybe a strange question, but not unimportant).
Before you update the firmware on the Ricoh, you will need a flash card (also software to put it on the flashcard), and (rarara) the firmware.
The procedure isn't that simple, and i will advise you if you're not familiair with these machines, to leave it to a Ricoh tech.....
I joined copytechnet to gain information about problems that i can't solve as a field service tech. so i hope that others will help me too with some cases, just like 'justfix' need. I also joined to help people like 'justfix' or others with their problems, in howfar i can. Justfix, this forum is something for Prof. technicians, and i can understand the frustrations of others, but the reaction of them is even unprofessional. So take both your decision to react or not, but think as a pro....

The Network twain driver ver.3.81a for XP, it's from Ricoh Support Europe homepage.
And yes, i'm same opinion with you, if i surely don't know what to do, i leave it, even it looks very simalar as updates i have been done.
Anyway, somehow i resolve this, soon or later!
Okey, maby it's time to close this case.
Thanks for you help! | | | |

Rep Power: 12 | You might try scanning at a different resolution (dpi). If you are scanning at a low (100 or 200 dpi) the scanner moves faster then when copying from the glass. If the motor is going bad and doesn't move fast enough at the lower resolution (higher scanner speed) it may throw the home position code. Try changing the resolution higher and then test the glass scanning. I would also reseat the connections for the scan motor and home position sensor if you haven't already done so.
You might want to check the motor for proper tension also, as the proper tension may be more critical faster scanner speed.

Reason: check tension
