Another problem that appeared in those machines was in the fuser exit sensor. They were too heat sensitive. There is a tech pub. But they usually caused the jams when hot, not cold. I also have seen the solenoid driving the duplex diverter gate in the exit section get sticky, but again, only when hot, not cold. Check that area thoroughly as others here have suggested.

I had a machine that jammed just below the fuser exit sensor. After replacing the sensor and tearing off the solenoid cushions, it still jammed.
I finally fixed it by sliding out the fuser and cealing the little cut-out in between the middle seperators. This is where the senor in the invertor shines onto and hey prosto! fixed.
