There is an updated 300 dpi driver to install for PDF printing issues. Check the TSC site for the files.
I have a customer that has some pdf's that will print and some will not. They say overall about 25% of the pdf's they try to print wont print. I have upgraded the PC that is running the plotbase and i can see the pdf's come into the printer spooler but they just sit there and never print and they never show up in the plotbase software. Other pdf files print fine and show in the plotbase as printed ok. I had considered size being an issue but some print that are 30MB and some wont that are 12MB. The PDF's are coming from different companies and it seems that just random files from all companies are having this issue.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Andy

Check the Plotbase version, as well.
If it was the 300dpi shared WinPrint driver that was causing the problem, the PDFs would still print, but larger sizes (Arc D and Arc E) wouldn't plot in their entirety. This problem was an issue with Acrobat 6.0 printing.
Version 3.7.1 fixes a support problem with PDF version 1.6 by Adobe engine.
If they try to send one of the PDFs that they are experiencing problems with to the plotter via PlotClient, does it give an error on the workstation? I forget the syntax, but if it does, chances are very good it's caused by the PDF version support error.
Today's subliminal quote is:
I am trying to get newer versions of all the software from someone who has access to the TSC site. I will let you know how i make out. Thanks for your help.
