Unhappy Savin clp 240d sc548 service codes

Hello all, the unit had a fuser error due to thick glossy stock, now appears to have a fuser lockout, im not familiar with this model and need to the service codes to reset. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,

don't want to sound funny but just resettting it is not a good idea unless you know what the code means and why its appeared. The code is saying to check the fuser is set correctly along with other things.

A customer called me out the yesterday as they had removed a fuser from a mpc4500? and now it was making a noise because its smashed a metal gear to bits.

All i'm saying is check the fuser before resetting it.

    fuser error

Yes, that is very good advise. I didnt go into complete detail earlier. It appears that after the fuser error the user attempted to reseat the fuser, they say they didnt but, i noticed that where the fuser seats in the power harness there is a bent receptacle. I have attempted to reshape back into proper form and it appears to push in correctly. If the unit requires resetting thru service i wont know if i succeeded until then. Thank you.

Check out the thread detailed MPC3500 SC548 this will point you in right direction as it is the same engine, To enter service mode hold the up and down arrows for 5 seconds then release then press enter key, go to (2) Engine then press enter, go to SP5-810 and execute, to come back out of service press reset till you get to the engine setting, then press down arrow till you get to end then press enter.
