    Question savin 8075 sc 553

i have a savin 8075 copier in a customers office that keeps coming up with a sc 553 and has almost a million copies on it . the tech manuel says its
    Fusing thermistor error 3
    The end thermistor (contact type)
    was at 240
    °C (464°F) for more than
1 second. The temperature is read
10 times every sec. (at 0.1 sec.
    intervals).
    possible causes

    PSU defective

    IOB control board defective

    BICU control board defective
i was wondering if anyone has run into this issue and if the know anything i can try other than replaceing these parts

I would try replacing the fusing thermistors first.
I don't believe in suicide, but if you try it, it might cheer me up.

ditto - the thermistors are very fragile. If there is any buildup on them at all they don't react fast enough to temp change. Even if you manage to clean one without destroying the mylar the internal connections to the actual sensing element are dinky and easily broken - just replace it.
