I'm assuming you've checked the physical connection on the device and can communicate on the network (ping, print, etc.) Check the firewall or anti virus software on the host. You can temporarily disable them to see if the connection can be established. If that doesn't work, you can run a repair from the Scanrouter disc/exe file.
We have seen this in the past as well. For whatever reason some instances set the delivery server to be the loopback or 127.0.0.1. I've also noticed that most installations on computers running Norton will have this effect. The only way to get around it is to set it statically via SP or assign your laptop the same IP as the host computer and set it to your laptop. You can then put the host computer back on the network which fools the machine. Of course you can always uninstall Norton or whatever software firewall may be causing the problem and hope it doesn't leave any processes behind.
The scans go into the undeliverable data and then I have to forward them to the destination.
Here is an error message: "11/03/2009 13:29:21","RICOH750C","","Destination file versions do not match.","Forwarded to the Undelivered Data In-Tray.","","Short ID: 002","scanner","SCN_20091103132921","19700113_0000 _0004_00000003_00000000_00000000","19700113_0000_0 007_00000003_00000025_00000006",
Any suggestions?
Re the original thread.
Scanrouter V2 Lite is no longer officially supported.
It will work on an XP host and route to shared/mapped drives providing it is installed under an account which is password protected and has local admin rights for the host. (Obviously this account will still need the appropriate NTFS permissions for the destination.)
Additionally, when installing you will be offered a selection on how you want to install the software. Make sure you choose 'run as service'. Selecting 'Launch from Program' or 'Startup' will prohibit scanning to shared/mapped drives.
Hope it helps.
Refreshing the ip address & power cycling the scanner has solved the issue.
Thanks.
