Fiery E5000 RIP on MP C4500

    Hi,

I'm really just trying to put some feelers out here.

Just wondering if anyone else had had the same unpleasant experiences with the Fiery E5000 RIP on an MP C3500 or MP C4500.

While I only have two of them out there, both have proven to be quite unstable, unreliable, and unpredictable.

I've had to re image both of them, and one needed an interface cable (to the copier), and just today we had to replace the motherboard. Quite pricey!!

To further compound matters, when I tried to order the cable and motherboard, I was told that the part numbers in the manual were invalid. Fortunately, we had a "donor" RIP to get the parts from.

The MFPs themselves have been rock solid; these RIPs, on the other hand, are giving them a really bad name in the accounts where we have them installed.

    Thanks!
All wiyht. Rho sritched mg kegtops awound?
