Does an internal test page come out clean? For instance printer summary page? Look at it carefully and see if there is any blodges around characters and line.

Just trying to figure out if it is the machine or if it's a rendering problem when data is coming into the machine for processing being that you mentioned indesign.

That looks more like the laser shutter to me. Have you updated the firmware?

I agree with TonerMunkeh, partly because he's probably right but mostly because he's my mate!

However, you can fix it with firmware if you want but I just take the thing off, so it's not total agreement.
