Yes - MPC2800/3300/4000/5000 drums need 2 wires swapping on the PCU plug. If you are looking at the plug with the wires going off the the left and the small tags that hold the pins in towards you, then swap the bottom 2 pins.

No wonder I was never called back after changing the Magenta PCU, it was a MP2500, hehehe. Daniel Jokinen is right, you do need to change the two wires, just done it on a 33 so here´s my correction.

For the US versions, there's no pin swapping needed, just hack off the corner of the black one and put it in as a color, works like a champ.

The MPC2500 wires don’t need swopped but
The MPC2800/3300/4000/4500 does for Europe but not for the U.S.

The MPC2000 / 2500 / 3000 / 3500 / 4500 does not need to be swopped.
The MPC2800 / 3300 / 4000 / 5000 does need to be swopped for EU but not for US.
