mpc 2500 poor quality a3 colour only

very odd fault this. A4 full colours are perfectly fine. when i do a test pattern on A3 i get this smugding affect on some areas of the page. nearly around the same area everytime.

its hard to explain what it looks like but its more smugdy and blurry.

all pcus and devs are in life.

Most likely a slightly deformed/flat spotted sponge roller under the fusing belt.
This causes a short pause in transport, just enough for the paper to buckle and the unfused image to smudge.

The MP C3500/4500 suffer from this as well.
