    NO FEEDING

The code will not clear at all. I can not feed from anywhere. The customer has a note taped to the lct telling people not to use it because it does not work, so we have tray one and bypass to work with for now. But, not until i get this pesty code to clear! I AM A KONICA TECH WORKING FROM ONLY WHAT I CAN GET FROM INTRAVIA SO I MAYBE MISSING SOMETHING IN THE SP MODE. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO READ BETWEEN THE LINES TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HE IS SAYING. THIS COULD BE A LOT OF MY PROBLEM WHEN WORKING WITH INPUTS. BUT I'M NOT GIVING UP YET!

So the machine feeds from tray 1 and bypass, but not from LCT? If that is the case, the code must have cleared and the machine is jamming from LCT.

    jam code

The lct has never worked, and i completely disconnected it to see if that would clear the code. No good. When you turn the machine on it come ready for about 2 sec. Then it diplays the j001 code and shows the letter "a" on the screen wtih a dotted line indicating the paper path through out the machine, and indicates to open rt side and front door to clear jam. Will not clear.

Does anyone have a copy of the parts and service manual for this machine? (savin c3828) i must be missing some sensors when i am testing in the sp mode.

Forget about those codes. They are too generic to be of much use compared to the service jam codes. I don't see where you mentioned the service jam code. Go check the data in 7-507. It is timestamped and will tell you EXACTLY which sensor the machine detected an error at.

Another note, as a rule the only way to clear a jam indication is to clear the sensors and open/close ALL of the doors that the machine wants cycled. Power On/Off and service mode resets will NOT clear jam codes.
