SR5000 on PRO1106ex

Hi Guys

I have an SR5000 that when stapling in 2 staple mode on the leading edge, it staples it right on the edge, sometimes missing it completely. However when i load some paper in the staple tray and use finisher output mode to activate the staple motor, its staples it in the right position, about 4mm rom the edge. I watched the staple while making copies and everything looks fine. I managed to stop the machine as it was stapling and saw that the paper was lifting from the bottom of the staple tray as soon as the staple unit was engaged. The group of paper was also bent because of the "that white thing that pushes the paper down to the bottom of the staple tray".

I think its a dirty sensor or something but i have cleaned all of them i know of.

Any ideas

There are mylar guides in the area of the "hook brackets" that hold the paper ready for stapling. these mylars split resulting in poor stacking. check / change the mylars, consider doubling them up.

Do you have a part number or location of that mylar. Not sure which ones you mean.

Thanks
