    Aficio 3025 -scan to email

I have been configuring an aficio 3025 for scan to email, and it works perfectly if you set "auto specify sender"; however, if you try to set up individual senders, the emails will only sometimes reach the destination, and more often than not, they are not received. The scanner doesn't fail, it goes through the motions, and the send completes, but as I said they seldom arrive.
I have updated all firmware to the most current, but to no avail. There doesn't appear to be any TSB's on this one either.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks in advance.

Is the problem consistent - where the same user name always fails?

If so, then maybe the mail server is bouncing the message based on an unauthorized sender name.

Although that will normally result in an error at the MFP, stranger things have been known to happen when sending via email.
All wiyht. Rho sritched mg kegtops awound?

    Ken,

But he mentioned it sometimes reaches the destination.

Not getting an error msg means it has got as far as the smtp server. If the spam filter kicks in and grabs it there will be no error msg at the copier. Spam filters depend on what they are set to look for. Some will kick in if there is no subject. Like Ken says it could be the sender you are using.

But if you can talk to whoever maintains the spam filter you will sort it out.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the tips guys. Right, it definitely has nothing to do with the sender, or Spam filters -it fails with all senders, but not always.
I'll definitely try the Speed setting... but not 'till Tuesday!...Long weekend! Sweet! Thanks "ricohtech"....

When you go back make sure you press the scanned file status button after scanning. This will point you to your answer. If it says done. Your problem is not the copier. If it says waiting or error your problem is the copier.

So when you say the scanner completes does the memory go to 100% and it says completed in the scanned file status log ? If that is the case the problem has to be beyond the copier like a spam filter or something.
