MPC 2500 DF squeaking!!

customer complained tha it jams in the doc feeder. paper is not feeding through sometimes to start off with.all the rollers are clean. ive tried turning the gears manually but not enough squeaking is producing.

the sqeaking noise i cant get rid of. did adf free run in section 6 and still cant tell where its coming from. also squeaks when doing double sided. has anyone else had the same fault??

it tends to squeak when it gets to the scanner slip glass and turns the paper around.

No, I have never had a squeaking DF.
If you cant locate it, start lubing all the shafts and bushings.

And don't forget to replace the Pickup Roller, Feed Belt, and Reverse Roller. The noise can also come from the Feed Belt/Reverse Roller.

I'd use an ADF output check (6-008).

i agree in replacing the rev roller and belt but as a temp measure clean them up with WD40 or similar, guaranteed to get rid of your squeek, do you need a parts manual or a service manual-tee hee!

i was joking about the manuals in reference to the guy who repeatedly try to flog them to us whenever somebody asks about a setting or part no.
