Ricoh 1224c color blur on leading edge, black copies ok

Hi, I have a Ricoh 1224c, color copies come out with a blurred or waterfall effect on about the first half inch of the leading edge of the copy, but the black copies are ok. The next 1 1/2 inches roughly of the color copy is slightly discolored and the rest is ok. There is some streaking from the first half inch that goes all the way up the color copy.

print a color test pattern out of memory to separate the optics from the engine. SP5995
