Question Savin 8080 E Mail Encryption

When setting up scan to email, the ONLY encryption option are: ON OFF AUTO, but what typr of encryption is that. When trying to scan to Gmail the SMTP error code returned in the system log shows a code = to rejection for non-incryption. But the gmail server requires SSL-TSL the only thing I can find for that is under PRINT and IP-FAX Can anyone HELP. This is the 6 customer with this issue. A link to info-Page num in OP or Service Man--- ANY INFO will Help.

As far as I know, Ricoh boxes will not scan to an external mail server that need SSL authentication "Gmail" is one of them, so thats your issue now, you will need another email service provider that does not work with SSL authentication.
We can all Win, but at the end we all loose. Save the greyhound

I got an e-mail from my tech rep a few weeks ago asking about this, asking if I saw a lot of this. Looks like the upper trenches are working on Ricoh about this.

To me though, it's not that big of a deal. I mean, set the client up for scan to folder and walk away.

The first law states that energy is conserved: The change in the internal energy is equal to the amount added by heating minus the amount lost by doing work on the environment.
