Uuuummmm...i am willing to bet that the 5810 won't correct that problem...seeing that it's something i have encountered before..This is basically what happens when a 571 has occurred...There is an overflow of oil that has overflown from the tank on the fusing unit and has gotten down inside of the copier, and of course has saturated the sensor, so no, 5810 wont resolve that issue...

I misunderstood what you're trying to point out, my apologies. 5810 will reset the code but won't solve the underlying problem (which of course will cause the sc to reoccur if not corrected).

I just received the oil I ordered 3 weeks ago. I've fill up the tank to the upper level and I installed a brand new Ricoh Black Toner. I've reset the 5-5810 service call but when restarting the machine I still get the error :-(. Someone any other idea?

    Thanks...

Yep, call a technician. It's well out of your hands now.
Up to my nuts in toner and loving it!

Like teebee1234 says : SC571 is an oil overflow error, NOT an oil end error. SC570 is an oil end error. So you can add oil as much as you want, this won't resolve the problem.

It's quite possible the oil application unit has come unlatched from the fuser slightly. I've seen this happen from the vibration when a unit gets transported. (the few that get moved and not "accidentally" dropped down a flight of stairs - sorry to have to tell you dude, but this machine tops most everybody's list for worst machine Ricoh ever made)

It's a fairly easy fix, but call a tech - it can get messy if oil has leaked down into the machine.

Its getting a lot of competition from the MP3500 and MP4000 series machines, and the MPC7500 is running a close second.
