| The lever that causes this is just above where the paper comes out inside the machine. It's black plastic about and inch and a half (5cm??) long. When its folded out it hangs down so that when the paper stacks up in the exit tray about 500 sheets will hold it up. When it is folded back into the machine, its almost invisible if you don't know its there - it just looks like a black bar above the gap where the paper comes from. If its folded in, you should be able to grab it with your fingers and GENTLY pull it out - it hinges in the front - be careful not to snap it off.
If somebody already snapped it off - good luck. It takes a bit of skill with a screwdriver to get access to replace it. Fortunately they don't break all that often - they usually just fold back in. |
