Ricoh FT6645 can't get started

Hello,
I just recently purchased a used ricoh FT6645, and received no documentation with it. Currently I am unable to get past the input user code. Is there a way to get past the code and reset it?

Thanks. Apologies in advance for the novice post.

Do you work for museum ?
Try to get to User Menu. If my memory serves me well, push yellow button then press and hold red "C".

try this - i dont know if it will work as its from a different FT m/c

press yellow ,1 0 7 clear (orange hold down for 3 seconds)

when in service mode

press 4 for special features number 9 then look for 1 and No 2

No 2 give you the chance to change the code and i think 1 has the option to enable/disable it.

Please note ***you are in service mode and YOU can ruin the m/c if you do any thing wrong so be carefull*****

good luck

Do you have a meter? if so, remove the small cover over the jumper pins. set your meter to read at least 24v. earth one meter lead to the frame. with the machine switched on check the pins at either end. One will read 5v (the other end should read 24v). BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE OTHER PINS WHEN YOU DO THIS!!

If you then switch off the machine and connect the 5vpin to the one next to it. This will complete the "switch" which disables the user code mode.

WARNING! (again) if you connect either of the 5v pins to either of the 24v pins the machine is KAPUT!!!
