Ricoh MP9000 Basic User Authentication Problem

Hi, I'm having a little problem with Basic User Authentication. Accidently I hit the Basic Authentication thinking it was user codes. Now I'm stock with the following message : ''Type User Name and Password and click login''.

I searched the SP modes and I found nothing to disable this option.

I searched the whole service manual without success.

Please somebody help me out with this message.

Thanks

Martin

If you hit user tools there should be a "login" button next to the exit button, top right. Or if there is one hit the hard login/logout key on control panel.
User name: Administrator
Password : (leave blank)
Then you should be able to go system settings>administrator toolsgs>page down> look for basic authentification and turn it off.

To setup user codes, ther are 2 parts.
Part 1: User tools>system settings>administrator tools>address book management
Hit new program. Press change name. Enter name.
Press Auth Info. Enter the user code you want.
This is important, pagedown and highlight the functions you want them to be able to use. Then exit.

Part 2: User tools>system settings>administrator tools>User authentification management>user code management.
Then highlight the functions you want to protect with user codes.

To logout hit Stop and Clear at the same time, or put it in energy save.
