MP C2500 Firmware needed

Hello, dear!

I'm new here and need some help.

One of our MPC2500 had the SR790 bridge, but after it has been removed, the machine does not start anymore because this piece is missing. So we have to update the firmware, but Ricoh in Brazil is like crap (sorry about that). Even the level 2 support can't help us. So, someone have this firmware to send me or know where I can download it?

PS.: I've tried access on Tessa, but it is for European companies/residents only, doesn't mention Brazil.

Thanks for cooperation!

Patrick

In the first place, the SR 790 is a B408 finisher, not a bridge. This machine uses a B227 BU3000 bridge unit. A shot in the dark here, but the machine HAS to have the bridge unit installed if the finisher is attatched to the machine.

If you remove the finisher, you should also remove the bridge unit. Then the machine will work. Firmware has nothing to do with it.

Sorry, my mistake. It is actually the finisher. We have already removed both, the bridge unit and the finisher and after this the machine always shows the same error: the bridge unit's cover is open. But there's no bridge anymore!

We are thinking: there´s some cover or cap that takes place when we remove these units?

Thanks folks!

Edited: can I save the firmware from other same model machine and upload to this machine? How can I do that?

Are you really sure it's the bridge unit cover? I've never seen a machine asking to close a non existent cover.

I don't think it is possible on this machine. Give me your email and I'll send you the firmware. It's in a 50M zipped file.

My e-mail is phabran@terra.com.br. Thanks for that.

About the error, I will post here the exactly message that appears. After I update the firmware because Ricoh-Brazil sent one wrong version and now it shows other errors.

I really want a Tessa's account, but they denied me because my company is not located in Europe.

I hate it when that happens!

SC681: RFID communication error. “D”
Communication error occurs when the RFID starts to communicate with the RFID receptor.
No memory chip on the toner cartridge, defective RFID controller.

So either Clear the engine settings in the NVRAM or replace the controller. And due to the original symptoms you declared, I am thinking controller. I wonder if the finisher or bridge was disconnected with the power still applied?
