Help times 3 please.

I have 3 copiers and a finisher I'm needing some help on please!!!
1, Ricoh 1045 with paper misfeed problems out of tray # 2. I have replace all pf pulleys and clutches and limit boss. Paper will either get that fold in the top center of copy whuch has always to me been the limit pf pulley. I also saw the paper start tp twist as leaving the tray and then stops.

2. Anothe Ricoh 1045 with pf trouble. Im told the problem happens when trying to print from a differet location. I've been out to this copier a couple times w/o being able to get the copier to misfeed???
Thanks!!!

3. What would be the most likely cause for stapler problems in an SR 790.
I've replaced staple cartride and the stapler itself. When copier is first turned on the stapler acts like it's trying to do something then puts the copier into a misfeed in finisher; yet there is no misfeed and no toner was needed.
Thanks!!!

ok, whats does the the 5-9904 say when you print out for the jams on questions 1 and 2?

question 3 the sr790 - if i remember right the door shuts, the staple unit moves backwards to the rear and then to its home position near the front - problems are normally the spring on the stapler unit has come out of position or the metal guides it passes through when it does a cycle are deformed and stops the stapler moving. manually fire the door switch on the finisher and watch the action Also check input mode for the sr790 if you suspect a faulty sensor.

The staple harness could have a broken wire under the protective cable guard.Cut the cable ties and inspect the harness.

I found with copier 1 that the customer was duplexing and one of the switchback gates was sticking.
Was there any tech report on problems with the gates sticking??? I've seen this often with the Ricoh 1035/45 copiers??? I usually just spray clean the pivot points which usually takes a couple of calls. I service a majority of off lease copiers and there have been a few with this problem. Wonder if it might be due to inactive or lack of use???
Thanks!!!

No, its from the rubber cushion getting sticky from heat. Put a piece of scotch tape over the cushion, and there is no more problem!

I like to replace the sticky cushions with a piece of cork pad with the adhesive backing. It is easy to cut to size, and seems to be a permanent solution.
