MP7000 PM parts

Hello there, guys and girls!

I'm getting stuff ready to do my first PM on this machine, and I got a couple of doubts, which I hope you can clarify for me.

- Is there a PM Kit with all the parts needed for the 300k PM, or do I need to order them separately?

- Due to the different designations used on the Service Manual and the Parts Catalog, there are some parts mentioned on the Preventive Maintenance chapter of the SM that I can't find the part numbers on the catalog:
Ozone Filter TOP (I can only find the Back and Front ozone filters);
Cleaning Filter (I see a lot of filters, none of them say "Cleaning");
Discharge Plate (is it the "Antistatic Plate"?);
Pressure Cleaning Roller (is it the roller pressing the web agains the fuser roller?)
Pressure Cleaning Roller Bearings (I only see bushings - manual mistake?)

Also, for a first timer, should I expect to spend a morning or an afternoon doing this PM?

You are in luck as there is a PM kit available for this process: B148300KPM should get you what you need other than developer.

In regards to the parts you're questioning:

TOP filtre is the same as one of the ozone filtres in the back of the machine.

The cleaning filtre I never have figured out. Since I change alll of the filtres andyway at 300k I just clear it. I'm guessing it's the filtre between the drum and the fuser, just above the transfer belt.

The discharge plate is the anti-static plate just past the transfer belt.

The pressure cleaning roller is just that: a metal roller against the pressure roller that cleans off toner and other goobies in the fuser. The 'bearings' for it really are bushings and they do wear out so if there's any sign of wear just go ahead and replace them.

More than likely for a full developer, drum blade and brush, corona and fuser PM I would guess about four hours worth of work for a newbie and probably trimming an hour off that after you get a couple of them under your belt. The best advice I can give you is to do the corona wire first and always have a spare one with you in case of a breakage. Better to have it and not need it than the opposite.

This part doesn't appear to exist here on my side of the ocean - at least my colleague can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know of any alternative part number for the PM kit?

I ran recently in some problems with the cleaning blade. Replaced on a PM en ended with stripes after 2000 copies.
I noticed that the original clean blade AD04 1140 came out of Japan en the new ones cane out of China......

Someone with the same problem?

So what's the deal with that ? don't they want you to put all the pm parts in ? I really don't see a reason not to with this machine since it goes at least double the pm schedule before you need to put anything in anyway.

Nice. So that means that I can safely add at least 50% or 75% more copies to the PM counter for next time's PM (Like 450k or 500k instead of the standard 300k) on this machine?
