Take out the cleaning roller from the fuser. The teflon on the hot roller may of gone off even if it looks okay as well as the press roller may now require changing.

You stated you set paper settings in user tools, that would be for the trays only.
When bypass is selected (assuming this is a copy job), press the "#" key and select "thick" paper type. If it's a print, you must select thick paper in the driver settings (once you select the bypass as the source, there's a paper type drop down to select various stocks).
