    Question ricoh 1224c scanrouter question

Hi Guys, i have a customer where i have installed scanrouter on his pc (xp pro) I have put an exception on ports 3670 (udp and tcp).

When the software fires up from windows for the first time it asks for a password, i entered the cusomers admin password and it says its incorrect, i did a fresh install and removed the previous rd cab folder also.

The copier just displays a loopback addy for the dest server. (127.0.0.1)
and says it cant find the destination server. I have done all the normal steps, select i/o device etc but it wont work.

The only problem is that the machines does an auto logon (no password prompt), will this make the difference between it working and not working?

(I think he used tweakiu for this auto logon)

    Any ideas?

First can I assume it's SR lite not pro? if so when U launch and it wants alog in try leaving it blank as "local host" other wise SR must have a valid login to the pc or domain, more complications. also are there other firewalls running?? more issues. the tsb's say port 3670, 135? and a block of ports (ie:6000-6010)should be exceptions with XP sp2. MS locks down DCOM pretty tight. GO to the machine and make sure it's set for delivery option on. Also can U ping it from the SR server(PC with scan router running) and web into the P.O.S. errr 1224 ? These are some of the reasons(headaches) that SR is no longer supported by the mothership. Goodluck!!

P.S. also sometime sp 5801-11 memory reset for NCS has helped.
Never trust a computer you can't throw out a window!!!

I have run into something similar before, but the PC in question had multiple users. We had to make sure that all users were logged off, except one (all the users had admin rights), before SR would log-in properly.
