I am also known as DHK, and asked yesterday for a way to get into the service mode on a Ricoh 3713.
I received a kind response from "Fridgemagnet" that walked me through the sequence (as shown in my Intravia's). However, for some reason, as soon as I let go of the final "Clear/Stop" and hit "Print", it just goes out of service mode and gives me a copy. I even tried holding down "Clear/Stop" and hitting "Print", but with the same result.
What am I doing wrong?
I get the "dot" after pushing "71" and then "Clear/Stop" -- but after my next "Clear/Stop" the "dot" goes away. Never do see the blinking "5".
from what i remember with these machines you take the back off. on the main board u put dip switch 101-1 on and then off and then enter 97 and press the aps key. and then turn the machine off then on. but saying that i havent seen one of these machines for about 2 years
Sw 101-2 gets you into service mode immediately. Simulation 97 is a reset for fuser codes. Since you have not specified what you're trying to do, a fuser reset may not be pertinent.
