    Ricoh MPC 4500 jamming

Hi, i have a ricoh mpc4000 thats jamming in area c1 and D. It jams just before it enters the finisher. I have checked every where around this area and i can't seem to figure out what is causing the paper jam. It works fine when the fuser is disconnected the paper will come out on top of the buffer, but when it has to past through on the way to the finisher it jams. Can anyone suggest something.

    Thanks

Bridge Unit safety switches. also same switch type on finisher top cover.

This is probably the most likely problem. Check the jam codes, if they are "power on" J1 jams then that is your confirmation that the bridge unit switches are the issue. Also make sure the firmware is current as there was a change to the timing of how soon the jam would register when an interruption occurred (increased to reduce the occurrence).
