    [Error Code] MP 201spf sc-670

I have a MP201 with sc-670, this happened after firmware update, I downloaded Engine Firmware Ver: D1165540C. I have tried to go in SP mode, no luck. So is there someone out there that knows how to find a way passed this issue.

There's a rtb regarding this. D115/D116-001. They changed the cpu on the engine pcb. If you flash the wrong firmware you permanately damage the board.

v.0.08:02 is the old engine firmware. v.A2.0.20 is the new engine firmware.

Do you have the PS3 option installed?

v0.08:02 is on Tessa, vA2.0:** isn't. In fact, I do not believe you can download vA2.0:**; from looking through My-Ricoh (unless they've hidden it somewhere).

Both engine firmware's were removed from the TSRC site so I don't have copies of either.

If you have loaded the wrong firmware to one of the new Engine PCB's, it can not be recovered.

Order a new PCB, it will probably be of the new flavour, you will know because the firmware will start with an A. (e.g. Ax.x:xx)

I do not know if there is an updated firmware designed for this new PCB, but it works out of the box so probably best not to touch it!

I did the fw upgrade on mp201spf, thought it would solve the scan to email using google's smtp.gmail.com which requires SSL, only to get the same error code sc670. Thereafter, I read some files from Ricoh and found out that the PCB was already damaged and the only solution was to get a new board. So no downgrading of the fw will make the machine work. Period.

                    Dear Grave Robber

This thread had been dead and buried for 2 1/2 years. Your post had absolutely nothing to do with the original problem of the thread. Keeps this up and you just might end up on peoples ignore list and when you do have a problem you might be ignored by those who otherwise might be able to help you.
