If the machine has a built-in webpage then type the ipaddress into a web browser (internet exploder, firefox...etc) and see if anything comes up.
If it does then it is a driver issue. This could be anything from the wrong driver (ps vs pcl) to a misconfigured driver (lpr port number or wrong print queue name such as "print" instead of "Print"). Usually (on the machines I am trained on) lpt1 does not require a special port on the machine, while lpr does require one.
If the webpage does not come up then it may not have the option to print(via network) installed.
Mr. Spock had and exelent idea try it out. I think the default user for admin is:
try, administrator password= password or admin password null (blank) no password , in older machines they were sysadm and password=password

As i told you this model is a MFP Copier, Printing is only an options. IF you bought this Unit with a printer/scanner kit you should have the CD included with the package (Smartnet Monitor, Desktop Binder, and Scanrouter)
Even you access the web base user interface you cannot use the Network printing features (only stand alone via LPT) unless you install the printer/scanner kit, I install this unit a year ago. in TOTAL C.P.T.L. as network printer they use this scan to email and also scan to folders. Its happened to me guys .

I also have never worked on this Ricoh. There are several other reasons why it might not print.

Job Accounting Code may be enabled. Only a print job containing the job accounting language would be allowed to pass.

I agree with the various other contributors that said that this was a port or driver issue. Emulation must be set correctly, of course, but if it was set incorrectly or it was the wrong driver you would get hundreds of pages of code not the print job. (You would get something.)

Is there a web page? Enter the IP address into your browser then Enter. (i.e.: http://192.168.1.10/)
This will confirm if you have a viable print card and connection. No driver is required for this.

SuabE, if he didŽnt have a printer module he who not have the printer features activated in the users mode, so i donŽt think thats his issue, but if he has a network card its almost certain hes got a printer or printer/scanner expantion card, dont you think so, weŽll have to wait so that he can tell us what the error message is, and until now theres no replay, weŽll have to wait for monday

    go to command propt.
Type "ipconfig /all" space petween the g and/.
Make sure the gateway and subnet mask match.
Type in the IP address in a web browser and see if you get the web page.
Check the port in the print driver.
It should be set to LPR and the print queue to (lp) lowercase.

You may want to try configuring the port differently. If you go into the printer properties, select the PORT tab and click the CONFIGURE PORT button. You might try changing the port to LPR, changing the name to lp (LP) and enabling byte counting. I've seen it work in some networks.

    Ricoh still not printing

Well, tried all of that. Hooked up a laptop with a crossover, pinged ok - no webpage though. It occured to me that why have an LPT port that works and an Network port that doesn't. Is this a permissions thing on the copier? I am beginning to think the lack of a Scanner/Printer kit is the reason - when I press the scanner button = double beep from the copier. However, when I press the printer button, I get paper tray option. Still scratching my head !!

If you dont have a print/scanner kit a 'printserver' is a good option, plugs into the parallel of the MFD. We use DLink DP-301p+ D-Link DP-301P+ Fast Ethernet Print Server they work a treat.
