Ricoh Aficio AP3800C / Savin SLP38C PLZ HELP!!!!!
I am an independant dealer and I need help on a SAVIN SLP38C.
The color printer was calling for the imaging units and we replaced all three colors, including the black.
The Text and Images had and still has after replacing the drums, what appears to look like shadows (blurry). However, the printer only does this on color printing and not on the black prints.
Is this a setting or adjustment that needs to be changed in service mode? Please advise; thank you for your help.

The colour registration is out by the sounds of it.
You can do a automatic or manual colour registration adjustment from the user mode.
If that does not bring it back into alignment the ITB unit may need maintenance.
Check SP3107-001 and 003, if the reading is 210 or over for either then the ITB needs some attention.
(Inspect the ITB belts condition, clean the ID sensors and make sure the mirror plate under the belt opposite the ID sensors is not scatched).
Bare in mind you will not get the colour reg dead pefect on this older model, it was never one it's stronger points.

re fogging
have you replaced the dev units and cleaned the laser slit glass on all four glasses.
this machine has two polygon mirrors to run the four drums one mirror runs the bk and cyan units the other runs the magenta and yellow, run the machine in single colours and see if the images/ fogging is the same for all of them . DaZ is right these are cr*p at maintaining the reg...

DaZ said everything, ITB most certainly would love some cleaning...
registration is not the best in this machine, to that IŽll agree.
We can all Win, but at the end we all loose. Save the greyhound

There is an adjustment procedure from Ricoh also. I don't find it the most helpful, but it gives some direction of things to adjust.

Sometimes it can be a good idea to clean up the registration roller too, if there seems to be a problem with color registration.
We had this problem a few times, most with thicker paper.
Use some window cleaner to not harden the rubber of the roller and to loosen the paper dust.
