    savin 2545

    customer moved copier and now does not have finisher funtions on screen copier recognizes when finisher door is open and even feeds copy to top bin but no finisher funtions to choose staple, group, or sort. i checked main cnnector from finisher to engine no pulled wires or damage tp connector. if there is a reset funtion how do i activate it. Thanks for the help.

    You may want to check and reseat the connections on the hard drive. If you moved the machine it might have knocked something loose.

    Good call sir!

    If the hard drive is disconnected or simply damaged to the point of the copier being unable to recognise it, it will make all finishing and duplexing options disappear.

    I know some, if not all, of the models will 'forget' they were connected to a finisher if they get turned on before the finisher gets reconnected. It may be as simple as reselecting the default paper exit trays for copy, print, fax, etc.

    Don't you get something similar when there is a finisher fault? (So many questions, so little time.)
