1232C paper jam at point B

Hi this is my first post.

I have found the forum very helpfull

I am trying to sort a problem out for a charity, the usual, they have little cash and need everything low cost, i normally do IT, now it is the copier!
Anyway I have the main manual B051/B052 SERVICE MANUAL
but there is very little on paper jams? the jam is always at "B" just before the fuser unit.

I first thought it may be the fuser and got the SC571 code, one of the forums sorted that out for me only now after 120 copies the dreaded jam has started again? Can you please help

Could be any number of things. The "B" location is somewhat general. When it jams there should be a numeric code on the display. If you can get that number it would be helpful in narrowing it down.

check the registration clutch at the rear of the machine, seams the paper is not reaching fuser on time. could cause B jams.
We can all Win, but at the end we all loose. Save the greyhound

Could well be the reg clucth i have had this go causing the same problem.

Also pull out the papertray and check there is no paper around the gear (look in and to the right) that turns the paper feed motor in the tray.

Also clean the roller and check for wear and also clean the sep pad.

Also puch the paper down in the tray so its flat and ensure the green end fence is firmly behind the paper.

Also worth puffing out the reg sensor which is just below the rubber reg roller which may also need cleaning.

Of course also check the path for any shreds of paper and if the guides seem to be in the right place.

If you can print the smc page or if you can note the jam code you keep going it may help us.

Also try in output mode activating the reg clucth you should here a click

output mode is 5804 i cant remember the reg clucth number but just scroll though till you get to it

Jams at fuser entrance/registration roller can be very difficult to fix.

    Registration clutch
    Feed clutches
    Relay clutches
    to start with.

    Then registration sensor
    Relay sensors

I have also had the transfer roller not touching the drum at the right time - the clutches that move it in and out and drive the ITB cleaner are notoriously problematic.
