Ricoh Afficio 200/NO Toner motor

Hi,
I replaced the toner motor and blown circuit board last year(Board burnt out). Now The toner motor is not coming on.Do you think board,or motor itself?Myexperience is limited on this.Last year I went with Hytec repair /replacement board and new motor.
Thanks, Andy

If it were me I´d replace the toner motor and switch on the machine with the front door open "simulated closed" enter service test mode 5-804 and then the number for toner bottle (EX:05) look at service manual procedure and see if the motor starts rotating, if not change the board. nothing more to say, as simple as that.

You can probably get working Aficio 200 for price of toner motor. I think that was the first digital ever made. Damn good unit, but its time to move on.

Regardless of anything else said here, you most assuredly need a toner motor. You also, I am willing to bet, will need the board. Often, a visual check of the board will reveal the damaged component.

I would strongly suggest using either Nationwide or Ambassador. Hytec has demonstrated a very casual attitude toward quality control. When I was working, IKON insisted on using Hytec. They switched to Nationwide and the number of bad repairs dropped drastically.

An Aficio 200 needs to be replaced. The last date of assured parts availability was January, 2007. They were highly problematic compared to the Aficio 1022 which is a much more desirable machine. I do not know if you are wed to Ricoh, but there are also some very impressive comparable boxes from Samsung and Kyrocera-Mita that can be sold to replace that thing.
