Hi, I have a RicohMP9002SP machine, the print is light and uneven image density, tried to initialized the TD sensor,
but it's not running only showing completed.. It supposed to run when TD initial setting is executed but it's not.

    Help Please..Thanks.

well a trained tech should know that you can't just execute 2801 by itself to initialize TD.you need to enter the dev lot number first....................

Also, I don't think initializing the TD sensor before you find out what's really going on is going to help. All you're doing is telling the TD sensor that the amount of toner currently mixed with the developer is the new normal state. That won't change anything.
While I'm not trained on that machine, I still think you'd be better served checking the condition of the drum and developer areas before you even think about service mode.

You could have a dirty Image Density sensor. A dirty sensor will cause the ID patch to look darker than it actually is during process control. Process control will then lower the required toner level it the developer. It is located on the PCU frame below the drum cleaning station. A bad cleaning brush or toner entrance seal on the cleaning station can cause toner to fall down on the ID sensor. Clean with a soft sloth or paper towel moistened with water only. A dry cloth or paper towel can cause static that will attract toner. any solvent other than water will damage the surface of the sensor. You may also have a problem pressure release system for the development unit causing toner fogging.
