MPC3003 - Device Setting Information: Import Setting (Server)

    Hi!

Has anyone used this function on this model or similar? I have 20 machines on several sites and I want to import the settings without having to go locally to the machines. Device Manager NX Advanced Template doesn't work and shows this message on the logs: "Failed to suspend the SDK application on the device".

    Any help?

    Thanks

From what I remember from training it is primarily for installation. When you have multiple machines going to the same customer, you can setup onre machine and then clone it to the rest. Everything is copied over except those item that have to remain machine specific serial number, counters, birth certificate information and IP address.

The answer from Ricoh was: "the feature shows on the machine's menu and on Web Image Monitor but it doesn't work".
They say that only import/export settings to SD card works and I've done sucessfully but I need an alternative.

If it shows on the WIM menu, that means that engineering had plans to implement it at some point in the future, possibly with the new 04 color models. You can always request a custom firmware but they may charge you to do it.
