    Cheers for the info, a good clean with IPA (this is what I use in the uk) seemed to do the trick, the glass did look rather worn so will order that & fit next time on site.

    If you are only getting lines on Doc-fed copies, it might simply be that fibres from the anti-static brush or mylar on the underside of the doc feed are hanging over the slit glass. From personal experience this can create weird effects on printout as these translucent fibres can also refract light and project coloured light onto the originals!! Took me along time to figure out that one.
