    MP C3501/4501 No WIM access

I just had three 01's come in with a whole lot of security and passwords on it...I reformatted the HDD (5-832-001), i executed 5-846-046 (which allowed me to get into administrator settings). Web and HTTP are up (which were my issues previously), but i still cannot get into the Web image monitor!

When i type in the IP address it says that it uses an unsupported protocol...look at the image i have attached.

I have a working 01 right next to it and i am trying to get everything to match exactly up, as far as system settings are concerned i believe they are identical. However, these three 01's have an option to "ERASE ALL MEMORY" under administrator tools, I have not seen that before or maybe i have but just glanced over it, I'm guessing this is different then SP 5-801?? Cause i don't want to do that nor do i think i have to. So my guess is there is a certificate on this machine that is preventing me from connecting, some ssl server certificate maybe...anyways i looked up the erase all memory and it says that it will delete SSL server certificates along with other stuff.

So should i perform that and if i do it gives me the option to #1. NSA #2. DoD #3. Random Numbers (3 times) What do those stand for and which should i carry out.

    Thanks!

    SP 5801-010, 011 and 020. SP 5825-091 should be 1. Check the settings in SP 5848, 5885 and 5985.

Well that definitely helped! I can now print (forgot to mention i couldn't before)

However still getting the same message when i try to access the WIM. 5828-91 is set to 1. 5848 and 5885 are all default and 5985 are both set to 1 (all of which match the good machine)

I no longer however have the option to do an "erase all memory" under administrator tools.

So all in all progress but still cant get in

go to user tools, system , administrator tool tab look at network security level is it set to level 0 if not you have have to login as administrator on copier will need to turn on admin. auth. management then exit out of user tools then go back in and log in user admin and no password then you can make change on network security level.

I look at your config page notice no IP address in DNS config section . Try putting it in auto dhcp for both ip address and DNS config and see if that make a difference.

Nope still the same thing...this is what it says each time The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.

look it up and looks like your browser is not letting it communicate because of ssl security. web browser are using SSL certificate you will have to tell browser that it is a trusted site and ok to use. i had to do that on firefox when they started this type of security.
