Noise from toner clutch area. SP W2470

Acts like toner not being held in correct position. Makes knocking noise from left side by toner clutch.

Toner is impacted within the cartridge causing the drive that turns the auger within the cartridge to jump so as not to damage any parts. You need to remove the cartridge, cover the perforated film, and (gently) shake the cartridge until you loosen the toner within. periodically turn the auger by hand until it rotates freely. BTW, this is what the customer needs to do every time BEFORE removing the seal and installing a new cartridge. the instructions are on the packaging. It is also a good idea that all new cartridges be stored horizontally and NOT on their ends. This will reduce the impaction of toner.
