Hello, I need to know how to clean the black laser unit on this machine.

There is no separate black laser unit. The laser unit is four all 4 colors. Open the left cover. You will see four rectangular slots in the drum securing plate. These are for using the shield glass cleaning tool that should have been with the machine when new somewhere.

nailed it!
SHOULD be on the door.. long flat rod.. one end handle-ish .. other end flat with fiber pad.. run it several times .. test.. clean the bad color
"rinse and repeat"

Use the cleaning tool dry. Anything else will leave streaks.

Honestly i had a toner bomb c431dn i had to get done to sell and didnt have the "wand"...
I ENDED up pulling all drums ITB unit,fuser and did used a small bristle paint brush and my copy vac.
Afterwards i hit it wth the air compressor and it got rid of the cq issues.
