    Ricoh 1515

Does anyone know what a S/C 320 is on this machine? It's not listed on the manual, and on most Ricoh's it reffers to a problem with the laser, but I've replaced the laser unit with two different laser units and I keep getting the same code. If you've seen this please respond.
    Thank you.

You should get your eyes checked. This error is most certainly listed in the manual along with the other ones. Try page 89

It's on page 4-3 of the Ricoh service documentation.

SC320 is a polygonal mirror motor error.

Possible causes are the polygon motor, loose connections, or the BICU board. Seeing as you've already changed the laser unit twice, that leads me to believe you have a bad/loose harness or BICU board.

Try reseating the harnesses tightly first. Then if that fails, you might have a bad board. I've had to replace the BICU board once before for this same code.

    Good luck!

Your right. I did find the code in the manual. Just to let you now what I found after all this. The main board was the problem, but after replacing it I got another sc code I think it was a 6xx code but I removed the print control board and that got rid of that code. Thanks for the help.
