Another tech has a mp5000, the original call was customer could not receive or transmit a fax. When the tech arrived he found he could receive just fine and transmit only with immediate send if he tried memory send it said it was dialing but it would never dial the number and would never send it. What he did was cheat the two batteries on the fcu board and now he says the mach won't do anything send or receive, he cheated the batteries by placing a piece of paper between the batteries and the contacts. Any help thanks

Has he just tried adding a pause to the number before it is dialed, I've seen it on systems before where the dialtone was a little slow in coming up and the machine would dial before it was ready.
