    SLP38C / 3800C replace fusing unit

Have one of these that I took in on trade a few months back. I have been using it untill the extra toner I have is gone. Now it is shut down with "replace fusing unit" message. The fuser looks like new and it prints fine. Can I reset this indication so I can use up the toner and part it out?
    Thanks,

    AP 3800c

Haven't seen one of these for at least 4 years but if I remember right the fuser is resettable providing it is not the unit supplied when the machine was new.Remove the cover from the unit and at the rear by the drive gears is a simple switch mechanism that activates when the fuser unit first rotates after install.I can't remember it exactly but it involves hooking a lever over a catch,I'm sure you'll work it out.

    Good luck, Mark.
