Coverage Rate on Ricoh Printers

Hello there, guys and girls!

I have a Ricoh SPC420DN whose customer finished the startup toner bottle in less than 400 prints. This is very bad, since we agreed on a per-page contract - and we've got the feeling that this could be bad for us.

Is there any way to check the coverage rate on these printers?

Cheers!

SP 8-601 should give you what you're looking for. This is just looking it up in the service manual so I don't know how useful the information the SP gives is. Print out the Logging Data sheet and take a look at the information.

Thanks for your feedback. Do you know if it is possible to activate some kind of toner-saving SP? I took a look at SP1108, but I'm not sure if this is what I'm looking for...

The closest thing should be the 'Toner Saving Mode' in the driver. I don't think there's an explicit SP for toner saving. After all, especially with printers there's a good amount of money to be made selling toner...
