I have a CL7200 with a SC 555 error code. What is giving me this error?

Probably a dodgy or dirty pressure roller thermistor.

I checked the thermistor and it was dirty. I cleaned it and had the same error. The second time through I checked the ohms across the pressure roller lamp and got zero. I am going to order a lamp and a thermistor. Is there an underlying problem that I am missing?

How close to PM time for the Fuser is it? It may be time for a new fusing unit anyways. Think you can print consumable time life left on that model.

You are SUPPOSE TO have 0 ohms across a lamp.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

    1) Is the lamp open circuit? or 0 ohms? If o/c, are you sure the fuser didn't overheat and blow a thermofuse? If the thermistor was dirty this is likely to be the initial problem.

    2) have you reset the fuser code?

The pressure lamp was open. I replaced it and also replaced the thermistor. I checked the thermal fuses and they are good. Now I get a cl553 error. I reset the fusing unit counter and continue to get this error. Anything left to check?

I've been told that the pressure roller will get flat spots on it and needs to be replaced. I've also heard that it needs to be flashed as well to help keep these from happening.
