    Smile AP3800C Memory all Clear (SP5-998)Then SC999

    Hi,, we have a AP3800C after performing the SP5-998 Memory clear2 ENG setting, the machine come out with SC999 , i think this is the firmware problem,, anyone can help?? please email me the firmware : copymatebs@yahoo.com TQ

    u need to go into ssp and reset the destination code

    I've managed to avoid doing 'all clears' for most of 20 years. They cause more harm than good. I've not had an 'all clear' ever actually fix anything.

    I think you have the right idea but sadly due to tweakers, iffy nv ram units and weird problems with Java modules and other applications loaded on to mfps and printers.

    I have on a few occasions had to use it (mostly as a diagonostic tool and then loaded the saved contents back on to the nvram) but i agree that some people think its the answer to everything which is not a good idea.

    I suspect I have the same problem on a customer's AP3800C MF. Tonyd, can you provide any details on what the dest code should be? I'm not really a Ricoh guy but I'd like to fix this one...
