MP301 - new PCU, but "Replace PCU" alert remains in web console

Fitted new PCU at 46k after toner feed gears shagged out, but can't find a reset for the PCU count in SP menu. Is there a manual reset procedure?

    Thanks.

So you didn't run developer Initialization then? (SP2-801-1)

No. The PCU instructions suggests the machine takes about 1min to initialize and the "Replace PCU" message on the operator panel should be cleared automatically... (Printer is working fine).

Does the developer initialization process reset the PCU alert or simply just charge the dev?

I must admit, I've not worked on this unit yet.
All the predecessors (MP161,171 and 201), you would power off the machine, replace the PCU and it would automatically calibrate and reset dev counter at power 'on', as your instructions have sort of indicated, BUT, the service manual for this model, simply states to replace it, and run the initialization, so I have to assume that the PCU alert will be reset at that time.

I know that there some models that have a SP setting for whether the PCU will be replaced by the user or by a technician. It will only reset the counter automatically if it is set for user replacement and the machine is displaying "Replace PCU". Every one I have worked on one it was set for tech and I have had to run SP 2801.

on this model, you don't run the 2801, it is automatic upon installing the pcu. i think it's SP7804.

The Service Manual says differently. MP301 PCU.pdf
SP7804 Resets PF counts etc., but nothing that actually actuates a PM message

I checked the service manual and it states "After replacement, Do “SP2801-001” to initialize the copier setting for PCU". SP 7804-001 resets the PM counter but does not initialize the developer or clear the developer counter. SP 2801-001 initializes the developer and clears the developer counter but does not clear the PM counter.

Performed SP2801-1, exited and restarted the printer, but 'Replace PCU' still appears in web console. Any more ideas?

What about SP7804-002? It's supposed to clear the 45k PM count...
